HOUSEKEEPING SHIFT LEADER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Housekeeping Shift Leader, Housekeeping Supervisor, or in a similar role.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Hospitality/Tourism Management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and hotel hygiene standards.
• Proven leadership and team supervision skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
• Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations during assigned shifts.
• Assign duties and work schedules to room attendants, public area cleaners, and other housekeeping staff.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support to promote efficient and effective operations.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, housekeeping procedures, and hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Coordinate room status updates with the Front Office to support efficient guest arrivals and departures.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, and lost-and-found items according to hotel procedures.
• Ensure housekeeping supplies, linens, and amenities are adequately stocked during each shift.
• Assist in resolving guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally.
