BS-IMEX is seeking qualified and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to work in the Czech Republic. The successful candidates will be responsible for the inspection, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of heavy construction equipment and commercial vehicles. The position requires strong mechanical skills, practical experience with excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and heavy-duty trucks, and the ability to perform physically demanding maintenance work.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Male, 25–43 years old.
• Vocational graduate in Automotive, Auto Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Mechanics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, or related role.
• Proven experience repairing and maintaining excavators, loaders, and bulldozers.
• Experience with Komatsu and Bobcat equipment is an advantage.
• Experience working with IVECO, MAN, and DAF trucks.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and heavy equipment maintenance systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Good manual dexterity and practical mechanical skills.
• Ability to use common mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery safely.
• Physically fit and capable of performing heavy-duty mechanical tasks.
• Willing to work in demanding workshop and field environments.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and related equipment problems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify worn, damaged, or defective components.
• Repair, replace, and adjust engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, steering systems, and other mechanical components.
• Perform engine servicing, including inspection, repair, adjustment, and replacement of components as required.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, hoses, valves, and related components.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Apply practical knowledge of IVECO, MAN, and DAF trucks when inspecting, servicing, and repairing vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools, testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
• Dismantle and reassemble mechanical components according to manufacturer specifications and repair procedures.
• Conduct testing after repairs to ensure equipment and vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential mechanical problems before major breakdowns occur.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, parts used, and completed work.
• Coordinate with supervisors and equipment operators regarding machine conditions, repair requirements, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of tools, spare parts, lubricants, and maintenance materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop and work area.
• Follow workplace safety procedures when working with heavy machinery, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Perform heavy-duty mechanical tasks and field repairs when required.
• Minimize equipment downtime through timely troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance and repair duties assigned by management.
