DBSJ Investments Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Glazier for an overseas employment opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, fitting, repairing, and maintaining various types of glass products for manufacturing, mining, construction, and related applications. Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with glass installation and be prepared to work in Australia under applicable employment and safety standards.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience as a Glazier or in a closely related glass installation occupation is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Must be willing to work in Australia.
- Must be an IELTS Passer or IELTS Exempt.
- Previous skills assessment is an advantage.
- Preferably with experience in manufacturing, mining, and construction environments.
- Must have strong practical knowledge of glass installation, replacement, fitting, and handling.
- Experienced in working with different glass products, including insulated glass and tempered glass.
- Able to accurately measure openings and work according to specified dimensions and drawings.
- Knowledgeable in the proper use of glazing tools, equipment, sealants, adhesives, and fixing systems.
- Must demonstrate good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physically capable of handling, lifting, positioning, and installing glass products safely.
- Must understand and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Able to work effectively with contractors, supervisors, and other construction or maintenance personnel.
- Reliable, responsible, hardworking, and willing to adapt to Australian workplace practices.
Responsibilities:
- Install, fit, replace, and maintain different types of glass products in residential, commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
- Install insulated glass units designed to help retain warm or cool air and improve energy efficiency.
- Install tempered and other safety glass products that are designed to provide increased resistance to breakage.
- Measure window, door, façade, and other openings accurately to determine the required glass dimensions.
- Cut, shape, and prepare glass according to specified measurements, designs, and installation requirements.
- Handle and transport glass panels safely to prevent damage, breakage, or injury.
- Install glass into window frames, doors, partitions, façades, shopfronts, and other structures.
- Apply appropriate sealants, adhesives, glazing compounds, gaskets, and fixing materials.
- Remove damaged, broken, or defective glass and replace it with suitable new materials.
- Inspect glass products, frames, fittings, and installation areas before and after completing work.
- Ensure glass installations are properly aligned, level, secure, and finished to required standards.
- Read and interpret drawings, measurements, specifications, and installation instructions.
- Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and glass-handling equipment safely and correctly.
- Work closely with builders, contractors, supervisors, fabricators, and other tradespeople on construction and installation projects.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures when handling heavy, sharp, fragile, or large glass products.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and properly dispose of broken glass and installation waste.
- Identify defects, installation issues, or potential safety hazards and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform work in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
- Complete assigned glazing tasks efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Carry out other related glazing, glass installation, and maintenance duties as required.
