Linc Facility Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Generator Technician to join its facilities maintenance team at Hamad International Airport in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators and related power systems to ensure uninterrupted power supply in a critical airport environment.
Generator Technician
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in generator or power systems maintenance.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within large commercial or industrial establishments.
- Experience must be in maintenance (not construction-only background).
- Relevant college degree, diploma, or certified vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of diesel generator systems, electrical distribution, and control panels.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system faults effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators and auxiliary power systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in generator systems.
- Conduct routine inspections, load testing, and performance monitoring of generators.
- Ensure proper operation of automatic transfer switches (ATS) and control systems.
- Respond promptly to power system failures and emergency breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and airport operational procedures.
- Coordinate with other maintenance teams to ensure reliable facility operations.
- Recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
