FOOD AND BEVERAGE COUNTER WORKER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of working experience is required.
• Must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management or similar fields.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, ingredient handling, food storage, and counter service procedures.
• Ability to follow food temperature, portion control, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to provide accurate information regarding food ingredients, availability, and pricing.
• Ability to handle customer concerns professionally and escalate complaints appropriately.
• Basic ability to handle customer payments and transactions accurately.
• Reliable, hardworking, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Physically capable of performing food preparation, counter service, cleaning, and other restaurant duties.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required by the business.

Responsibilities:

• Perform food preparation duties such as rinsing, peeling, slicing, and dicing fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately according to established recipes and preparation requirements.
• Prepare and organize ingredients for daily food and beverage service.
• Wrap, date-label, and properly store food items and ingredients.
• Follow proper food storage and handling procedures to maintain freshness and quality.
• Follow established guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control.
• Serve customers in a fast, efficient, friendly, and professional manner.
• Take and process customer orders accurately.
• Provide customers with information regarding food ingredients, product availability, and pricing.
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests courteously and promptly.
• Escalate customer concerns and complaints to management when necessary.
• Assist customers with payment for products and ensure transactions are handled accurately.
• Clean and organize work areas, equipment, utensils, counters, and service stations.
• Maintain proper cleanliness and sanitation throughout the food preparation and service areas.
• Follow relevant food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and service standards and procedures.
• Check food items and service areas regularly to ensure quality and proper presentation.
• Replenish food items, ingredients, packaging materials, and other supplies as needed.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure orders are prepared and served efficiently.
• Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, storage, and handling.
• Follow company policies and established food service procedures.
• Perform other food preparation, counter service, and general restaurant duties as assigned by management.
