The Protea is seeking a creative and experienced Florist for an overseas work opportunity in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and creating high-quality luxury floral arrangements for weddings, events, celebrations, and gifting.

The ideal candidate should have excellent floral design skills, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to create elegant arrangements based on themes, occasions, and customer requirements. Applicants must be able to provide sample photos or videos of previous floral work for evaluation.

FLORIST

Qualifications:

• Must have at least a Vocational or TESDA Certificate in Floristry, Floral Design, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Must have 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Florist or in a similar professional floral design role.
• Must be skilled in creating luxury floral arrangements for weddings, events, celebrations, and gifting.
• Strong knowledge of flowers, foliage, floral arrangement techniques, flower conditioning, and proper flower handling is highly advantageous.
• Must have excellent creativity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of color, balance, proportion, and design.
• Must be able to create customized and elegant floral arrangements according to client requirements and event themes.
• Must be able to work efficiently while meeting deadlines for weddings, events, and special occasions.
• Must be able to provide sample photos or videos of previous floral work for evaluation.

Responsibilities:

• Design and create luxury floral arrangements for weddings, events, celebrations, corporate functions, and gifting.
• Prepare bouquets, centerpieces, floral installations, arches, table arrangements, and other customized floral designs.
• Select and arrange flowers, foliage, greenery, and decorative materials according to the required theme, color scheme, style, and occasion.
• Create bespoke floral designs based on client preferences, event concepts, and specifications.
• Prepare and condition fresh flowers to maintain their quality, freshness, and longevity.
• Handle, cut, arrange, and secure flowers and decorative materials using appropriate floral design techniques.
• Create elegant and visually appealing arrangements while maintaining professional quality and presentation standards.
• Assist with floral setup and installation at weddings, events, venues, and special occasions.
• Ensure floral arrangements are properly prepared, transported, and displayed.
• Monitor flower and material inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of floral supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the floral work area, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with event planners, clients, and other team members to ensure floral requirements are completed on schedule.
• Maintain a portfolio and provide sample photos or videos of previous floral work when required.
