Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Fishmonger or in a seafood retail, supermarket, hypermarket, or fish market environment.
• At least a High School Graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Good English communication skills.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of fish and seafood preparation, handling, and storage procedures.
• Skilled in filleting, cleaning, cutting, and processing various types of fish and seafood.
• Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in cold storage and refrigerated environments.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, clean, scale, fillet, gut, trim, and portion fresh fish and seafood according to customer requirements.
• Display fish and seafood products attractively to maximize freshness and sales.
• Assist customers by recommending products, explaining different seafood varieties, and providing advice on selection, storage, and cooking methods.
• Weigh, package, label, and price seafood products accurately.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish displays to ensure product availability.
• Rotate stock using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method and minimize product waste.
• Store fish and seafood at the correct temperatures to maintain freshness and food safety.
• Inspect incoming seafood deliveries for quality, freshness, and compliance with company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, display counters, cutting tools, and equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety regulations at all times.
• Coordinate with supervisors regarding stock requirements and product ordering.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the Seafood Department Supervisor or Store Manager.
