EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as an Equipment Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience maintaining commercial kitchen equipment and food service machinery is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Must have a valid passport with at least 2 years and 6 months validity.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on restaurant and kitchen equipment according to approved maintenance schedules.
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, freezers, coffee machines, dishwashers, ice machines, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify potential issues and perform corrective maintenance before breakdowns occur.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related equipment faults and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of spare parts, tools, and maintenance inventory.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and other departments regarding equipment parts and stock requirements.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records accurately.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with company procedures, health and safety regulations, and food service industry standards.
  • Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational downtime.
