ELEVATOR TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • 43 years old and below.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing elevator installation and maintenance work.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience as an elevator technician or in a related technical field.
  • Practical knowledge of elevator mechanical and electrical systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair technical equipment.
  • Able to use basic hand tools and technical equipment safely.
  • Willing to undergo Japanese language training from beginner level up to N4.
  • Fast learner with a positive and responsible attitude.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to learn Japanese workplace practices and technical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair elevator systems and components.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safe elevator operation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and identify equipment faults.
  • Check elevator components, wiring, controls, motors, doors, safety devices, and related systems.
  • Perform adjustments, replacements, and repairs as required.
  • Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
  • Follow technical drawings, manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Conduct functional tests after installation, maintenance, or repairs.
  • Report equipment defects, technical problems, and required repairs to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other workers during installation and maintenance activities.
  • Follow Japanese workplace safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Perform other elevator-related technical duties assigned by management.
