ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN RELIABILITY

Qualifications:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in electrical maintenance and reliability roles.
• Strong experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industries (mandatory).
• No minimum educational attainment required.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of HV/LV systems, switchgear, motors, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with PLC systems and maintenance management systems is an advantage.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Willing to work in Qatar.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and reliability engineering support skills.
• Ability to work in high-pressure industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot HV and LV distribution systems, including power transformers, MV induction motors, VFDs, UPS, and battery-backed systems.
• Work with modern protection relays such as MiCOM and Sepam and understand switchgear protection schemes.
• Perform detailed troubleshooting of MV/LV switchgear control schematics and electrical faults.
• Conduct condition monitoring of motors and switchgear systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Apply knowledge of hazardous area classifications and ensure correct selection of electrical equipment.
• Develop preventive maintenance (PM) plans and detailed job instructions for assigned systems.
• Support PLC-based systems and assist in troubleshooting automation-related issues.
• Assist in spare parts management and maintenance planning within computerized maintenance systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry standards at all times.
