Job Vacancy: Edge Banding Machine Operator

Job Location: Greece

Fieldtech is seeking an experienced Edge Banding Machine Operator to operate and monitor edge banding machinery used in furniture manufacturing. The successful candidate must have experience in the furniture manufacturing industry and the technical skills to set up machines, apply edge banding materials accurately, inspect finished panels, and maintain consistent production quality.

Edge Banding Machine Operator

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience as an Edge Banding Machine Operator or in a similar position.
  • Must be at least a high school graduate.
  • Must have experience in the furniture manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of edge banding machine operation, setup, and adjustment.
  • Familiarity with edge banding materials, panel preparation, adhesive application, trimming, and finishing processes.
  • Ability to identify edge bonding defects and make appropriate machine adjustments.
  • Knowledge of basic machine troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and follow production and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor edge banding machines used in furniture production.
  • Adjust machine settings, including temperature, pressure, feed speed, and trimming units, according to material requirements and production specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate edge banding materials based on panel type, thickness, finish, and job requirements.
  • Load, position, and feed furniture panels safely and accurately into the machine.
  • Monitor the edge banding process to ensure proper adhesion and consistent application.
  • Inspect finished edges for bonding quality, trimming accuracy, corner finishing, alignment, and surface appearance.
  • Make necessary machine adjustments to correct minor defects, uneven edges, glue problems, or other inconsistencies.
  • Perform basic machine troubleshooting and report mechanical or operational issues when necessary.
  • Carry out routine cleaning and preventive maintenance to keep the machine in good working condition.
  • Ensure finished panels meet the required dimensions, specifications, and finishing standards.
  • Follow production schedules, quality-control procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
