Critical Care Nurse
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Must be a licensed professional nurse and have passed the required professional licensure examination.
- Level 3 ICU-trained candidates are required.
- Must be proficient in ventilator management.
- Experience working with high-acuity and complex critical care patients.
- Familiarity with invasive monitoring is required.
- Tertiary hospital experience is highly preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills.
- Able to work effectively in a demanding intensive care environment.
- Must be capable of managing complex patients without extensive support or supervision.
- IELTS or OET passer.
- CBT passer is an advantage.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, adaptable, compassionate, and patient-focused.
- Willing to complete the required UK nursing registration and employment requirements.
- Ready for an online interview as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, comprehensive, and specialized nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients.
- Monitor patients continuously and identify changes in clinical condition.
- Manage patients requiring intensive nursing observation and intervention.
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients receiving mechanical ventilation.
- Operate and monitor ventilators according to established clinical protocols and physician orders.
- Perform and interpret routine critical care observations and assessments.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, neurological status, fluid balance, and other relevant clinical parameters.
- Demonstrate familiarity with invasive monitoring and critical care monitoring equipment.
- Assist with the management of patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to prescriptions and clinical protocols.
- Perform nursing procedures appropriate to the critical care setting.
- Recognize deterioration promptly and escalate concerns to physicians and senior clinical staff.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and clinical records.
- Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, patients, and their families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and clinical handovers.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, medication safety, and hospital policies.
- Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable nursing regulations.
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to patients and their families.
- Participate in clinical education, training, and continuing professional development.
- Perform other nursing responsibilities assigned by the clinical team.
