Job Location: Marshall Islands
Tobolar Copra Processing Authority is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Cost Accountant for deployment to the Marshall Islands. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cost accounting functions, preparing production cost reports, and supporting financial operations within a manufacturing environment.
COST ACCOUNTANT
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 2 years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in cost systems and preparation of cost production reports.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literate with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain cost accounting records, reports, and production cost analyses.
- Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and operational expenses.
- Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving measures and process improvements.
- Prepare cost production reports and financial summaries for management review.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Reconcile inventory and production records to ensure accuracy of cost data.
- Maintain and improve cost accounting systems and procedures.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and finance departments regarding cost-related concerns.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial procedures.
- Support audits and provide necessary financial documentation when required.
