Linda & Lydia Employment Agency (LLEA) is seeking an experienced and skilled Cook to join a professional kitchen team in Brunei. This opportunity is ideal for culinary professionals with at least three years of cooking experience, strong culinary knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Cook.
• Strong culinary knowledge and practical cooking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Good teamwork, communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Physically fit, hardworking, reliable, and able to work under pressure during busy service periods.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning food items.
• Follow recipes, cooking methods, portion sizes, and presentation standards consistently.
• Ensure food is properly cooked, seasoned, presented, and served according to kitchen requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, taste, and presentation.
• Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to ensure timely completion of orders.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before preparation and cooking.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies and ingredients.
• Monitor ingredient usage and inform the supervisor when supplies need replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen, including workstations, cooking equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly and report any malfunction or maintenance concerns.
• Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient food service.
• Follow food safety regulations, workplace safety procedures, and company kitchen standards.
• Assist with menu preparation, special dishes, and other culinary requirements when needed.
• Perform other cooking and kitchen duties assigned by management.
