Grapecare LTD. is seeking qualified and experienced Construction Workers to work in the Czech Republic. The successful candidates will perform general construction and manual work, primarily on transport-infrastructure projects. Duties include high-pressure water jetting, shotcrete application, basic bricklaying and carpentry, and other construction activities. Experience in operating construction equipment or performing welding and cutting work is an advantage.
CONSTRUCTION WORKER
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Must be at least a high school graduate.
- Specialization in general construction work.
- Experience in manual construction work, particularly on infrastructure or transport-related projects, is an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in high-pressure water jetting is preferred.
- Experience in shotcrete application using dry or wet processes is an advantage.
- Familiarity with operating shotcrete machines and related construction equipment.
- Basic skills in bricklaying, masonry, or carpentry.
- Experience operating an excavator is an advantage.
- Experience operating a chainsaw is an advantage.
- Welding and cutting skills are an advantage.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual construction work.
- Able to work outdoors and in different construction-site conditions.
- Ability to safely handle construction tools, machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a construction team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general manual construction work on transport-infrastructure and related construction projects.
- Assist with construction, repair, maintenance, and rehabilitation of infrastructure structures.
- Apply high-pressure water jetting at pressures ranging from 500 to 2,500 bar as required for construction and surface preparation activities.
- Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment safely and according to established procedures.
- Prepare surfaces and work areas before applying concrete or other construction materials.
- Apply sprayed concrete (shotcrete) using either the dry or wet process.
- Operate and assist with the setup of shotcrete machines and related equipment.
- Monitor shotcrete application to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and finish.
- Perform basic bricklaying and masonry work according to construction requirements.
- Carry out basic carpentry work, including preparation, installation, and adjustment of wooden forms and structures.
- Assist skilled workers with formwork, concrete work, repairs, and other construction activities.
- Operate an excavator when qualified and assigned to do so.
- Operate a chainsaw for approved construction, clearing, or site-preparation activities when required.
- Perform basic welding and cutting work when qualified; welding/cutting experience is an advantage.
- Handle construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Prepare, clean, and maintain tools and equipment used at the construction site.
- Follow technical instructions, work plans, and directions from supervisors and site personnel.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout construction activities.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site safety procedures.
- Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and positioning construction materials and equipment.
- Inspect completed work and report defects, hazards, equipment problems, or material issues to supervisors.
- Coordinate with other construction workers, machine operators, technicians, and supervisors to complete assigned tasks.
- Follow company procedures, construction standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Perform other general construction duties as assigned by the employer.
