Aureol Global Connections is seeking qualified and experienced CNC Press Brake Machine Operators for an overseas work opportunity in Ireland. The successful candidates will operate high-tonnage CNC press brake machines, set up bending programs and tooling, interpret technical folding drawings, and ensure accurate and consistent metal forming according to production specifications and safety requirements.
CNC PRESS BRAKE MACHINE OPERATOR
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Press Brake Machine Operator.
- Experience operating 40–300 ton CNC Press Brake machines.
- Strong knowledge of CNC press brake machine operation and setup.
- Ability to read and interpret folding drawings and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of selecting, loading, and verifying CNC bending programs.
- Ability to set the correct bending sequence based on production drawings.
- Ability to write, modify, and adjust CNC programs for bending operations.
- Experience changing and setting press brake tooling.
- Ability to select appropriate punches and dies according to material and bending requirements.
- Ability to measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring tools.
- Knowledge of adjusting bending parameters to achieve required dimensions and angles.
- Ability to identify and report bending deviations, errors, and quality issues.
- Good understanding of metal fabrication and sheet-metal bending processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to maintain consistent production quality and dimensional tolerances.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety (H&S) requirements when operating high-tonnage machinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a metal manufacturing environment.
- Willing to follow company policies, safety procedures, production standards, and supervisor instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Operate 40–300 ton CNC press brake machines safely and efficiently.
- Set up CNC press brake machines according to production requirements and technical specifications.
- Read and interpret folding drawings, technical drawings, and production specifications.
- Select, load, and verify the appropriate CNC bending programs.
- Set the correct bending sequence based on the drawing and production requirements.
- Write, modify, and adjust CNC bending programs when required.
- Select, install, and change appropriate press brake tooling, including punches and dies.
- Correctly position and secure workpieces before beginning bending operations.
- Set and adjust bending parameters to achieve the required angles, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Operate CNC press brake equipment while monitoring machine performance and production quality.
- Measure completed components using appropriate precision measuring tools.
- Inspect bent metal components for dimensional accuracy, angles, shape, and overall quality.
- Make necessary machine or program adjustments to maintain consistent bending results.
- Monitor bending consistency throughout production and identify deviations from specifications.
- Report bending deviations, machine errors, quality problems, and other production issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments within the permitted scope of work.
- Conduct routine checks of machine condition, tooling, and safety systems.
- Maintain proper tooling and ensure punches, dies, and other equipment are in good working condition.
- Follow production schedules, technical specifications, quality requirements, and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records when required.
- Keep the machine, tools, and surrounding work area clean and organized.
- Follow all Health and Safety (H&S) guidelines when operating high-tonnage CNC machinery.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe material-handling procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions, machine malfunctions, damaged tooling, and workplace hazards immediately.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, and other production workers to resolve technical or production issues.
- Perform other CNC press brake and metal fabrication duties assigned by management.
