CARPENTER / JOINER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience as a Carpenter, Joiner, or Prefabrication Production Worker.
• Must be at least a high school graduate.
• Direct experience in prefabricated timber production for at least 2 years is required.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking processes, timber construction, and prefabrication techniques.
• Proficient in operating woodworking machinery and using electric, pneumatic, and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documentation.
• Good understanding of measuring tools and quality inspection procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Crane operator, forklift, and rigging certifications are considered an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Machine and hand-process timber and wood-based materials by sawing, planing, milling, drilling, sanding, and shaping using woodworking machines and electric, pneumatic, and hand tools.
• Measure, mark, and prepare structural components for external walls, internal walls, ceilings, and roof panels based on technical drawings and production specifications.
• Assemble timber structural elements using metal and timber fasteners to produce wall panels, ceiling blocks, and load-bearing frames.
• Install insulation materials, vapour barriers, diffusion membranes, windows, doors, and external thermal insulation systems.
• Apply protective coatings, wood treatments, and preservative impregnation to finished timber products.
• Operate, inspect, clean, and perform basic adjustments on woodworking machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documentation accurately.
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions, quality, and compliance with production specifications.
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation related to manufacturing activities.
• Inspect, pack, label, and prepare completed prefabricated components for storage and dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while complying with workplace safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other carpentry, joinery, and production-related duties assigned by management.
