CARPENTER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
• Must have a Diploma in Carpentry or an equivalent recognized technical qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building and facilities maintenance.
• Must be multi-skilled, with knowledge and practical ability in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and painting.
• Knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, installation methods, repair techniques, and finishing work.
• Ability to perform general building and facility maintenance tasks.
• Basic knowledge of masonry work, including minor repairs, patching, plastering, and related building maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems and ability to perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Basic knowledge of painting, surface preparation, touch-up, and finishing work.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, measurements, drawings, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on maintenance work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working at different heights when required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and capable of working independently or as part of a maintenance team.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to perform different maintenance tasks according to facility requirements.
• Willingness to follow company policies, workplace procedures, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform carpentry installation, repair, maintenance, and renovation work in buildings and facilities.
  Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials according to specifications.
  Construct and repair doors, window frames, cabinets, shelves, partitions, furniture, and other wooden structures.
  Inspect existing carpentry structures and identify damaged, worn, or defective components requiring repair or replacement.
  Repair doors, locks, hinges, cabinets, fixtures, and other building components.
  Perform general building maintenance and assist with facility repair requirements.
  Apply practical masonry skills for minor building repairs, patching, plastering, and related maintenance work.
  Perform basic plumbing maintenance, including minor repairs to pipes, fittings, fixtures, and water-related problems.
  Perform basic painting and finishing work, including surface preparation, painting, touch-ups, and repainting of building surfaces.
  Assist in repairing walls, ceilings, partitions, floors, and other facility structures when required.
  Prepare surfaces, materials, tools, and equipment before starting maintenance or repair work.
  Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and carpentry machinery safely and correctly.
  Follow technical drawings, measurements, work instructions, and maintenance specifications.
  Conduct proper measurements and ensure accurate installation and finishing of carpentry work.
  Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, maintenance personnel, and other trades when performing multi-skilled facility maintenance.
  Respond to maintenance requests and complete assigned repair work within required timelines.
  Maintain carpentry tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in good condition.
  Ensure proper storage and handling of construction and maintenance materials.
  Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation, functionality, appearance, and workmanship.
  Report major building defects, structural concerns, or maintenance requirements to supervisors.
  Follow company procedures and workplace safety requirements when performing carpentry and general maintenance work.
  Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
  Perform other carpentry, building maintenance, and multi-skilled duties assigned by management.
