CAR MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience as a Car Mechanic.
• Maximum age of 35 years old.
• Relevant training or certification in Automotive Technology or a related field is an advantage.
• Must possess a valid passport with at least 3 to 5 years of remaining validity before expiration.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic systems.
• Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret vehicle service manuals and technical specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work in a workshop environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Willing to work in Brunei and comply with company policies and workplace safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and engine-related problems using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection.
• Perform preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Repair and replace faulty vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, cooling systems, and electrical parts.
• Conduct engine tune-ups and perform routine servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect vehicles to identify defects, safety concerns, and required repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
• Test-drive vehicles after repairs to verify proper operation and ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with workplace health and safety standards.
• Communicate repair findings and recommendations to supervisors when necessary.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management.
