Otak International is seeking an experienced CAD Technician – Dry Utilities to support infrastructure, road, and utility projects in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate should have strong AutoCAD drafting skills, UAE dry utility project experience, and a good understanding of utility networks, service corridors, and multidisciplinary coordination.

CAD Technician – Dry Utilities

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in dry utility drafting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience working on UAE infrastructure, road, and utility projects.
• Good understanding of utility corridors, service coordination, and utility networks.
• Ability to read, interpret, and develop engineering drawings based on design requirements.
• Experience preparing detailed drawings for electrical, telecommunications, street lighting, and other dry utility networks.
• Knowledge of utility clash detection and coordination is an advantage.
• Civil 3D experience is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements and utility standards is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers and other disciplines to produce accurate and coordinated drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings for electrical, telecommunications, street lighting, and other dry utility networks.
• Develop and update engineering drawings based on design requirements, technical specifications, and project revisions.
• Read and interpret engineering plans and utility design information.
• Coordinate utility corridors, service routes, and networks with road and infrastructure designs.
• Assist with utility clash detection and coordination to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure accurate and integrated drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable UAE authority requirements, utility standards, and project specifications.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission.
