Cabin Aircraft Engineer

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience on B787 and/or A321 aircraft.
• At least 6 years of experience in cabin line maintenance.
• Must hold a Diploma (3+ years) or Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) required, such as GACA A/P, FAA A/P, EASA B1, or an equivalent relevant licence.
• B787 Level II/III or A321 type qualification required.
• Extensive experience in aircraft cabin maintenance and line maintenance operations.
• Proven ability to supervise cabin maintenance technicians and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft cabin systems, components, interiors, and appearance maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and oversee rectification of cabin-related technical defects.
• Knowledge of approved aircraft maintenance procedures, technical manuals, and applicable aviation regulations.
• Ability to certify maintenance activities within applicable licence privileges and organizational authorization.
• Strong understanding of aircraft serviceability, maintenance documentation, and return-to-service requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to aviation safety and quality.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively under time pressure during aircraft turnaround and line maintenance operations.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and other schedules required by aircraft operations.
• Safety-conscious, reliable, organized, and committed to maintaining high aircraft maintenance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily aircraft cabin and appearance maintenance activities.
• Supervise cabin line maintenance operations for assigned aircraft.
• Inspect aircraft cabin areas and assess defects, damage, and maintenance requirements.
• Oversee the rectification of cabin defects and ensure appropriate corrective actions are completed.
• Certify authorized maintenance activities in accordance with applicable regulations, company procedures, and licence privileges.
• Review and verify completed maintenance work before aircraft release or return to service, within authorized scope.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to cabin technicians and other assigned maintenance personnel.
• Assign maintenance tasks and monitor technicians’ work to ensure safe and efficient completion.
• Ensure cabin maintenance activities comply with approved maintenance manuals, technical instructions, and engineering procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex cabin maintenance issues and provide technical direction for defect rectification.
• Inspect cabin components, fittings, furnishings, panels, seats, compartments, and other interior systems as required.
• Ensure aircraft cabin appearance and serviceability standards are maintained.
• Review aircraft technical records, maintenance documentation, defect reports, and rectification records for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented in accordance with approved procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance control, engineering, flight operations, ground operations, and other relevant departments.
• Support aircraft turnaround activities and prioritize maintenance requirements that may affect operational schedules.
• Identify recurring cabin defects and escalate significant technical issues for further engineering investigation.
• Monitor maintenance progress and take appropriate action to minimize aircraft delays and disruptions.
• Ensure maintenance personnel use tools, equipment, materials, and technical data correctly.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with aviation, occupational health, and safety requirements.
• Conduct or support functional checks and inspections following cabin maintenance and defect rectification.
• Assist in maintaining aircraft serviceability and supporting on-time performance (OTP).
• Provide technical reports, maintenance updates, and relevant information to management and engineering personnel.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to cabin maintenance reliability, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Perform other aircraft cabin engineering and maintenance duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
