Island Mobile Hire Cars Ltd operates a nationwide vehicle rental network with multiple branches across Papua New Guinea and manages a large fleet of rental vehicles, making strong operational and customer service management skills essential for this role.
The role is ideal for candidates with leadership experience who can manage staff, maintain customer satisfaction, and oversee day-to-day operations in a fast-paced vehicle rental or transportation environment.
BRANCH MANAGER
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Experience in the automotive, vehicle rental, logistics, retail, transportation, or service industry is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in team leadership and staff supervision.
- Strong background in operations management and customer service.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage daily branch operations efficiently and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize internal management systems.
- Strong customer service orientation and relationship management skills.
- Good organizational, planning, and reporting skills.Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the branch.
- Supervise branch personnel and ensure high levels of productivity and performance.
- Monitor customer service standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate vehicle rental operations, scheduling, and fleet availability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
- Manage branch resources, inventory, and operational requirements.
- Prepare operational reports and provide updates to senior management.
- Resolve customer concerns, complaints, and operational issues promptly.
- Monitor branch financial performance and assist in achieving revenue targets.
- Coordinate with fleet, maintenance, and administrative departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct staff training, performance evaluations, and coaching activities.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and reporting practices.
- Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professionalism.
