BLASTER PAINTER
Qualifications:
- Filipino male, preferably not more than 48 years old.
- At least 3–5 years of overseas work experience in the relevant Blaster Painter position.
- Must be able to clearly explain and demonstrate previous work experience and technical skills.
- Strong practical knowledge of abrasive blasting, surface preparation, industrial painting, and protective coating application.
- Experience operating blasting equipment, compressors, spray guns, and other painting tools.
- Knowledge of different surface preparation methods and industrial coating systems.
- Ability to inspect surfaces and determine appropriate preparation and coating requirements.
- Ability to prepare and apply primers, paints, and protective coatings according to specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures and proper use of PPE, including respiratory protection.
- Ability to safely handle paints, solvents, abrasives, and other industrial materials.
- Resume must include specific details of duties, responsibilities, equipment, tools, and scope of work performed.
- Must have verifiable employment experience and credible references.
- Willing to take IELTS or PTE as required.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding blasting and painting work.
- Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking, adaptable, and willing to comply with company and site requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal and other industrial surfaces for blasting and painting.
- Perform abrasive blasting to remove rust, corrosion, old coatings, dirt, scale, and other surface contaminants.
- Operate blasting equipment, compressors, spray-painting equipment, and other related tools safely and correctly.
- Select and use appropriate abrasive materials and blasting techniques according to project requirements.
- Inspect blasted surfaces to ensure the required level of cleanliness and surface preparation has been achieved.
- Prepare paints, primers, coatings, and other finishing materials according to manufacturer specifications.
- Apply primers, paints, protective coatings, and other finishing systems using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other appropriate equipment.
- Maintain proper coating thickness, coverage, and finish according to project specifications.
- Perform masking, taping, and protection of surfaces that should not be blasted or painted.
- Inspect completed coating work for defects such as uneven coverage, runs, sagging, peeling, or other imperfections.
- Perform touch-ups and corrective painting work as required.
- Clean and maintain blasting, painting, and safety equipment after use.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate ventilation and environmental controls during blasting and painting activities.
- Handle paints, solvents, abrasives, and other materials safely and according to workplace requirements.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including proper use of respiratory protection and PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Report equipment faults, material issues, surface defects, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Coordinate with supervisors, fabricators, welders, mechanical personnel, and other site workers as required.
- Complete assigned blasting and painting work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Maintain work records and documentation when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
