Riyadh Air is seeking qualified and experienced Avionics Aircraft Engineers to join its aircraft maintenance team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates will perform, supervise, and certify avionics and electrical maintenance activities, defect rectification, modifications, and functional testing on commercial aircraft while ensuring compliance with approved maintenance procedures, aviation regulations, and safety standards.

Avionics Aircraft Engineer

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in aircraft line maintenance, including at least 4 years of experience working on B787 and/or A320 aircraft.
• Diploma of at least 3 years or a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must hold an AML (Aircraft Maintenance License) such as GACA AV, FAA AV, or EASA B2.
• Must have a B787 and/or A320neo CFM LEAP Level 3 type rating.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems, line maintenance, defect rectification, modifications, and functional testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose avionics and electrical system faults using approved maintenance procedures and test equipment.
• Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, technical publications, and engineering instructions.
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance safety, airworthiness, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to supervise maintenance personnel and ensure work is completed accurately and safely.
• Strong attention to detail, technical judgment, documentation skills, and commitment to maintenance quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively in a professional aviation environment.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, holidays, and aircraft turnaround operations as required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform avionics and electrical line maintenance on assigned aircraft.
• Supervise avionics and electrical maintenance activities carried out by maintenance technicians.
• Certify authorized avionics and electrical maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable aircraft maintenance regulations and license privileges.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, defect diagnosis, and rectification of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
• Identify and investigate aircraft system faults, abnormal indications, and reported technical defects.
• Perform functional testing and operational checks following maintenance, repair, or component replacement.
• Carry out approved aircraft modifications and ensure work is completed according to applicable technical instructions.
• Interpret and follow aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, technical publications, and engineering instructions.
• Inspect avionics components, wiring, connectors, instruments, communication systems, navigation systems, and associated electrical equipment.
• Ensure maintenance work is performed in accordance with approved procedures, manufacturer requirements, and company standards.
• Review completed maintenance work and verify that all required tasks, inspections, and functional checks have been properly performed.
• Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance records, technical documentation, and defect rectification reports.
• Coordinate with maintenance control, flight crews, technicians, engineers, and other departments regarding aircraft technical issues.
• Support aircraft turnaround and line maintenance activities while maintaining operational and safety requirements.
• Ensure proper use, calibration, and handling of avionics test equipment, tools, and ground support equipment.
• Report recurring or unresolved technical defects to the appropriate engineering or maintenance control personnel.
• Comply with aviation safety regulations, company procedures, occupational safety requirements, and applicable airworthiness standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with aircraft maintenance requirements.
• Assist with other avionics engineering and aircraft maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
