Assistant Manager Hotel Stores
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in high-volume food service management and inventory control.
- Proven experience supervising storage areas, including dry stores, chillers, and freezers.
- Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, stock rotation, and food safety procedures.
- Ability to calculate and control cost projections and understand their impact on operational budgets.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Physically fit and capable of handling inventory operations in a shipboard environment.
- Willing to work onboard Disney Cruise Line under a rotational contract.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the daily operations of hotel stores, including dry storage areas, chillers, freezers, and other inventory facilities.
- Supervise the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of food, beverages, and hotel supplies.
- Monitor and maintain proper storage conditions, including temperature logs for refrigerated and frozen products.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HACCP standards, sanitation regulations, and international maritime health requirements.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to maintain adequate stock while minimizing waste.
- Assist in controlling food, beverage, and operational supply costs through effective inventory management.
- Prepare inventory reports, stock movement records, and cost analysis for management review.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and ensure products meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with culinary, food and beverage, housekeeping, and procurement teams to ensure timely distribution of supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software and onboard systems.
- Supervise storekeepers and other hotel stores personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance support.
- Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage environment.
- Support loading and unloading operations during port calls when required.
- Perform other inventory and logistics duties assigned by Hotel Stores Management.
