ALUMINUM & STAINLESS TIG / MIG WELDER FABRICATOR

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of proven working experience as a Welder Fabricator is required.
  • Must be at least a high school graduate.
  • Expertise in TIG and MIG welding processes, particularly for stainless steel and aluminum fabrication.
  • Skilled in welding, metal fabrication, assembly, grinding, polishing, and finishing of stainless steel and aluminum products.
  • Able to read and interpret CAD drawings, technical drawings, blueprints, measurements, and project specifications.
  • Knowledgeable in metal preparation, cutting, fitting, joint alignment, welding techniques, and fabrication procedures.
  • Familiar with different types and grades of stainless steel and aluminum, as well as appropriate welding consumables and techniques.
  • Able to produce clean, strong, and accurate welds with a high-quality finish, including polished stainless steel and aluminum surfaces.
  • Knowledge of welding quality standards, inspection procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Experience in site installation and working with fabricated metal structures or components is an advantage.
  • Experience operating a press brake and other metal fabrication machinery is an advantage.
  • Must be able to speak, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Willing to take the IELTS examination as required.
  • Physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a fabrication team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum materials according to project specifications and technical drawings.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install metal products, components, frames, structures, and customized items.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, fabrication plans, and technical specifications to determine dimensions and welding requirements.
  • Measure, mark, cut, bend, shape, and prepare metal materials using appropriate fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Perform fitting, alignment, tacking, and welding of metal components to ensure accurate dimensions and proper assembly.
  • Select suitable welding processes, machine settings, filler materials, and consumables based on the type and thickness of the metal.
  • Grind, polish, smooth, and finish welded surfaces to achieve a clean and professional appearance, particularly on stainless steel and aluminum products.
  • Inspect completed welding and fabrication work for defects, dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and overall quality.
  • Carry out necessary adjustments, repairs, and finishing work to meet project requirements and quality standards.
  • Assist with on-site installation, positioning, fitting, and securing of fabricated metal products when required.
  • Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting tools, press brakes, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain welding machines, tools, and equipment in good working condition and report any defects or malfunctions.
  • Follow applicable welding standards, quality requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, fabricators, and installation teams to complete projects according to schedule.
  • Perform other welding, metal fabrication, and installation duties as assigned.
