AIRPORT RUNWAY SUPERVISOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in airport runway systems, airfield ground lighting (AGL), or related electrical maintenance fields.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Experience supervising corrective and preventive maintenance activities of AFL/AGL systems.
• Knowledge of Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring Systems (ALCMS) for airport runways and taxiways.
• Experience in installing and maintaining Constant Current Regulators (CCR).
• Skilled in laying, replacing, and testing primary and secondary airfield lighting cables.
• Ability to troubleshoot earth faults, open-circuit faults, and other electrical system issues.
• Experience managing helpers, technicians, and maintenance teams.
• Familiarity with field inspections and serviceability checks of runway lighting systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of airport safety regulations and operational procedures is an advantage.
• Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise corrective and preventive maintenance activities for airport runway and taxiway lighting systems.
• Manage and coordinate helpers and AGL technicians during maintenance operations.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring Systems (ALCMS).
• Supervise installation, repair, and replacement of primary and secondary airfield lighting cables.
• Monitor and maintain Constant Current Regulators (CCR) and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve earth faults, open-circuit faults, and lighting system failures.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure operational readiness and serviceability of runway lighting systems.
• Ensure compliance with airport safety standards and maintenance procedures.
• Prepare maintenance reports and provide updates to engineers and management.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, instruments, and testing equipment.
• Support continuous improvement of airport lighting system reliability and performance.
