AIRCONDITIONING MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with VRF airconditioning systems.
• Must be at least a High School Graduate.
• NC II Certificate in Refrigeration and Airconditioning (RAC) is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of VRF airconditioning systems.
• Ability to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues efficiently and accurately.
• Good knowledge of airconditioning system components, controls, electrical circuits, and refrigerant systems.
• Skilled in using airconditioning service tools, diagnostic equipment, gauges, and electrical testing instruments.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding technical work.
• Must be comfortable working at heights and following appropriate safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong understanding of electrical, refrigeration, and workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to comply with applicable electrical, refrigeration, and workplace standards.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and safety-conscious.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair VRF airconditioning systems.
• Perform hands-on installation and commissioning of VRF airconditioning equipment and components.
• Inspect airconditioning systems to identify mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related problems.
• Diagnose system faults accurately and determine appropriate repair procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical components, controls, wiring, sensors, compressors, and other system components.
• Identify and resolve refrigerant-related issues, including leaks, pressure problems, and system performance issues.
• Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, and related servicing procedures using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure reliable and efficient system operation.
• Inspect compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, valves, piping, and other VRF system components.
• Test airconditioning systems after installation, maintenance, or repair to verify proper operation.
• Use appropriate diagnostic instruments, gauges, electrical testing equipment, and hand tools safely.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and completed service work.
• Ensure all work is performed according to manufacturer specifications and established procedures.
• Follow electrical, refrigeration, occupational health, and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Work safely when performing tasks at heights and use appropriate safety equipment and procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, clients, and other team members to complete assigned work.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Report major equipment defects, safety concerns, and technical issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Perform other airconditioning maintenance, installation, and repair duties as assigned.
