Line Engineer
Qualifications:
- Male applicants
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in operating extrusion equipment, preferably in uPVC and HDPE pipe production.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong understanding of extrusion processes and equipment. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and monitor machine operations according to standard operating Procedures.
- Understand department safety, quality and regulatory requirements, and production goals; actively engage in meeting these goals
- Inspect raw materials and products to ensure there are no visual defects; take corrective action as needed.
- Perform advanced machine adjustments to ensure that proper construction specifications are being met
- Perform material disposition on all work-in-processes (WIP) parts as assigned.
- Minimize the production of products that do not meet specifications by quickly taking action and using investigative, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills
- Interrupt machine operation as necessary to correct operating problems. Accurately measure work in process (WIP) and finished goods in inches or centimeters.
- Assist in training of new operators
- Communicate technical issues in a timely manner to all levels (managers, shift supervisor’s, co- workers, maintenance.
- Assist with failure and perform regular minor preventive maintenance
- Perform troubleshooting to solve equipment malfunction.
- Keep accurate records and explain any discrepancies.
- Perform complete setup, adjustments, startup, and shutdown of all equipment in the area
- Maintain housekeeping at a high level in Extrusion area, through the involvement of all extruder employees.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by supervisor, facilitator, or lead.
