DCS Operator

Qualifications:

• Familiar with common electric and electronic devices
• Familiar with chemicals and the risks and basic safety regulations.
• Must be able to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs etc, with agility.
• Ability to read and interpret documents / procedures such as safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading the customer’s chemical liquids into bulk trucks or rail wagons as per quantity and grades indicated in the loading sheet.
• Full compliance with SSHEQ rules on personal safety & quality check.
• Knows how to work with chemicals and knows how to react in case of a spillage or emergency.
• Operate, maintain, adjust, clean and/or coordinate same of all equipment dealing with handling liquid bulk (un)loading.
• Knows how to work with nitrogen ( risks, connections, …)
• Has a basic knowledge how to use chemical hoses, loading arms, isotanks.
• Checks if all requirements before loading and unloading are done and knows what the requirements for each specific product are. (e.g. Grounding, wheel chocks, brakes, connections)
• Takes care of the daily cleaning and housekeeping of the workplace and keeps the assigned area in a clean, sanitary condition at all times.
• Taking lead and managing the situation at field in case of emergency
• Opens and closes valves / connections at loading / unloading area
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions.
• Demonstrates SSHEQ leadership by always performing work tasks as a role model for BBS and demonstrates practical knowledge of the Tenets of Operation.

• Passport valid for more than 3 years preferred (or proof of passport release)
• NBI clearance (valid or with proof of release)
• Educational credentials (diploma, form 137, TOR)
• PEOS certificate
• Vax Certificate
