Laundry Manager
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in laundry management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills and Competencies: Team management, operational oversight, quality control, equipment maintenance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant professional certifications are desirable.
Responsibilities:
- The Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing the laundry operations within the camps, ensuring that laundry services are delivered efficiently and meet the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
- This role involves managing staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the laundry team, including supervisors and staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development. Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in laundry operations
- Operational Oversight: Oversee daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding of linens and garments. Ensure all laundry operations comply with industry standards and organizational policies.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and garment care. Conduct regular inspections of laundry processes and outcomes.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all laundry equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Coordinate repairs and maintenance with relevant technicians and service providers.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage the laundry budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. Oversee procurement of laundry supplies and equipment.
- Training and Development: Provide training to laundry staff on proper procedures and use of equipment. Ensure staff are knowledgeable about health and safety standards and practices.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with laundry operations and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on laundry performance, issues, and initiatives. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
