Samsung C&T Corporation is seeking highly qualified Commissioning Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineers to support the commissioning and start-up of major industrial and power generation projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning instrumentation and control systems, ensuring all equipment and control processes operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

COMMISIONING I&C ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Preferably with no re-entry restriction in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the same position.
• Must have proven experience in Oil and Gas projects.
• Must have experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) or Cogeneration Power Plants.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, DCS, PLC, field devices, and commissioning procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control logic documentation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work in Saudi Arabia and perform site-based commissioning activities as required.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for instrumentation and control (I&C) systems.
• Perform pre-commissioning, loop checking, functional testing, calibration, and start-up of field instruments and control systems.
• Commission Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and related control equipment.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, logic diagrams, and commissioning procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and control issues during commissioning and plant start-up.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and client representatives to ensure successful system handover.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records, punch lists, and completion documentation.
