Refrigeration Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering (Industrial) or related fields.
- Licensed refrigeration mechanic or engineer with a graduate degree, diploma, or trade certificate in refrigeration.
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in industrial refrigeration.
- At least 5 years in a management role, preferably in food processing or manufacturing.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
- Effective management, leadership, and team motivation abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems systematically.
- Excellent command of English, willingness to learn the local language.
- Prepared to live and work in a rural environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise refrigeration personnel, assign daily tasks, conduct appraisals, and organize training.
- Provide mentorship and motivation to the refrigeration team to maintain high performance.
- Maintenance & Repairs:
- Establish and enforce maintenance procedures and standards for all refrigeration equipment.
- Plan and implement routine R&M schedules for:
- 10 × 10-ton air blast freezers
- 8 × cold storage freezers
- 3 × egg chiller rooms
- 2 × ice machines
- 3 × 10 cu.m/hr water chillers
- 10 × 40’ refrigerated containers
- 4 × industrial AC units
- 2 × industrial air handling units
- Domestic refrigeration and AC units
- Conduct emergency repairs and liaise with suppliers for parts and technical guidance.
- Test and audit subordinates’ work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Project & Procurement Management:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of refrigeration-based CAPEX projects.
- Oversee procurement, storage, and management of refrigeration parts and supplies.
- Implement energy improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Develop and enforce maintenance safety policies.
- Ensure all staff receive proper safety training and PPE.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other managers, including Processing Plant, Egg Grading, Hatchery, Transport, Depot
- Distribution, Central Warehouse, Workshop & Electrical, and Building Managers, for integrated operations.
- Perform any other tasks requested by management.
- Work effectively in a multi-cultural and rural work environment.
