Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years working experience
• Willing to undergo IELTS language examination.
• TESDA Certificate holder is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Cut and fix roof tiles (including tiles of concrete, clay, metal or similar material, shingles and shakes) to roof and fascia structures.
• Set out and fix battens. Bedding, pointing and installing of associated flashing
• Install safety mesh, sarking and anti-ponding boards. Install firewall insulation and metal straps to battens.
• Reading, interpreting and implementing plans and specifications.
• Use of appropriate equipment, measures, formulas and records to carry out measurements and calculations.
• Preparing surfaces for tiling, cement and related applications- including removing material, cleaning, and filling holes and cracks on surface.
• Appropriate selection and operation of tools and machinery in accordance with health and safety protocols – including carrying out pre and post operation checks on tools and machinery.
• Operation of specified tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles as required by plans including edges, corners and around objects.
• Applications of tiles including applying adhesive, positioning tiles and ensuring uniform spacing and alignment of tiles.
• Application of grout including preparation of surface, removal of old grout, cleaning excess grout and polishing of surface.
• Laying floors of various compositions including: cement, granolithic, and terrazzo and basic knowledge of laying marble and granite floors.
• Laying our tiles in various patterns, designs or compositions according to specifications.
