Excavator Operator
Qualifications:
- More than 3 years of work experience, preferably from overseas
- Can provide certificate of employment supporting the work experience
- With good level of English communication
- With valid driver’s license
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Preparation: Ensure plant machinery is ready for operation by performing necessary pre-operation checks and positioning the equipment correctly.
- Attachment Management: Select, fit, and remove various attachments, including buckets, winches, loading scoops, shovel blades, and rock-breaking hammers, as needed for specific tasks.
- Precision Operation: Utilize machine controls to execute excavation, material movement, and spreading activities with precision and accuracy.
- Continuous Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor plant operation, making real-time control adjustments to maintain optimal pressure, speed, and safety standards for all workers on-site.
- Task Guidance: Work from plans, drawings, markers, and verbal instructions to carry out tasks in alignment with project requirements and objectives.
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular equipment servicing, lubrication, cleaning, and refueling as part of a comprehensive maintenance regimen, addressing minor adjustments and repairs as necessary.
- Heavy Machinery Transportation: Safely transport and position heavy machinery in accordance with site-specific safety protocols and guidelines.
- Attachment Assessment: Efficiently assess task requirements to determine suitable attachments, ensuring they are properly fitted to the machinery for optimal functionality.
- Manual and Hydraulic Control: Manipulate attachments using manual and hydraulic controls, adjusting them as needed throughout the operation.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project team members, including supervisors and fellow trades, to coordinate and execute tasks in line with project plans and objectives.
- Safety Protocols: Conduct regular safety checks and inspections on plant equipment to identify potential issues or malfunctions, addressing them promptly to maintain a secure working environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of machine operation, maintenance activities, and any incidents to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Technological Advancements: Stay updated on the latest advancements in plant equipment technology and safety procedures through continuous professional development and training.
- Site-Specific Adaptation: Adapt to the unique requirements of each work site, ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with the project’s specifications and safety guidelines.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate problem-solving skills in addressing unexpected challenges and deviations from planned operations, ensuring efficiency and safety are maintained.
