Royale Fashion Ready Made Garments Company & Textiles For Ladies is seeking qualified and experienced Fashion Designers to join its fashion and garment production team in Kuwait. The successful candidates will create and develop clothing designs, research fashion trends, select fabrics and materials, and prepare design concepts for garment production while ensuring that designs meet customer preferences and quality standards.

FASHION DESIGNER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience as a Fashion Designer or in a similar position.
  • Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Textile, Fashion Design & Production, or a similar field.
  • Graduate of Fashion Design, Garment Technology, Apparel Design, or a related course; vocational training in fashion design is also an advantage.
  • Female applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Proficient in fashion sketching, pattern making, garment construction, and fabric selection.
  • Strong knowledge of sewing techniques and garment production processes.
  • Good understanding of fashion trends, colors, fabrics, textures, and garment styles.
  • Ability to translate design concepts into practical and production-ready garments.
  • Strong creative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret fashion sketches, technical drawings, patterns, and design specifications.
  • Knowledge of garment fitting, alteration, sampling, and quality control.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Organized, creative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple design tasks.
  • Willing to work in a professional garment and fashion production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop original designs for clothing, uniforms, and fashion collections.
  • Research current fashion trends, fabrics, colors, styles, and customer preferences.
  • Prepare fashion sketches, mood boards, technical drawings, and detailed design concepts.
  • Select appropriate fabrics, materials, colors, patterns, trims, and accessories for each design.
  • Develop design concepts based on customer requirements, market trends, and company specifications.
  • Prepare and modify designs according to fitting results, production requirements, and customer feedback.
  • Develop patterns and ensure patterns accurately reflect the intended design and measurements.
  • Work closely with tailors, dressmakers, pattern makers, and garment production staff.
  • Provide clear design and construction instructions for garment production.
  • Apply knowledge of sewing techniques and garment construction to develop practical and production-ready designs.
  • Select suitable fabrics based on garment style, functionality, appearance, quality, and intended use.
  • Coordinate fabric, color, texture, and accessory combinations to achieve the desired design.
  • Review sample garments and recommend modifications to improve fit, construction, appearance, and overall design.
  • Assist with fitting sessions and make design adjustments when necessary.
  • Monitor garment samples and finished products to ensure they conform to approved designs.
  • Maintain design files, sketches, patterns, specifications, and other production-related records.
  • Keep updated with emerging fashion trends, materials, techniques, and industry developments.
  • Ensure designs are practical, visually appealing, and suitable for efficient garment production.
  • Work within customer requirements, production schedules, and company quality standards.
  • Maintain an organized design workspace and properly care for design tools and materials.
  • Perform other fashion design, garment development, and production-related duties as assigned.
