Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking a qualified Welding Inspector to monitor and inspect welding activities for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring welding works comply with approved procedures, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable welding codes.

Welding Inspector

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Welding Inspector or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, inspection methods, and welding quality requirements.
• Ability to interpret welding drawings, procedures, specifications, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with welding codes, standards, and inspection practices.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and reporting ability.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a construction or industrial project environment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect welding activities before, during, and after welding operations.
• Monitor welding parameters, techniques, and procedures to ensure compliance with approved welding requirements.
• Check welding materials, electrodes, filler metals, and consumables to verify proper specifications and storage conditions.
• Review welding procedures, drawings, and technical documents prior to execution.
• Conduct visual inspections of completed welds and identify defects or non-conformities.
• Coordinate with welders, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel regarding welding quality issues.
• Verify welding activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
• Prepare welding inspection reports, documentation, and quality records.
• Support non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and follow up on corrective actions when required.
• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
