Welder I & II
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 4β6 years of relevant welding experience.
- Must have experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Refineries, Chemical Plants, or similar industrial facilities.
- Must be capable of performing routine maintenance and repair work in the related field.
- Must have strong practical welding and metal fabrication skills.
- Must be able to work with industrial equipment, piping, structures, and mechanical components.
- Knowledge of welding procedures, safety standards, hot work requirements, and industrial maintenance practices is highly advantageous.
- Must be able to interpret basic technical drawings, welding symbols, measurements, and specifications.
- Must be physically capable of performing welding and maintenance work in an industrial plant environment.
- Must be safety-conscious and willing to comply with company and site safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication work on industrial equipment, piping, structural components, machinery, and metal assemblies.
- Carry out welding activities according to approved procedures, technical drawings, specifications, and required welding standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair work involving welded components and metal structures.
- Prepare surfaces, materials, joints, and welding equipment before performing welding operations.
- Select and use appropriate welding methods, electrodes, filler materials, and equipment according to the job requirements.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, alignment, penetration, defects, and compliance with specifications.
- Repair defective or damaged welds and components as required.
- Perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and other related fabrication activities when necessary.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and serviceable condition.
- Follow hot work procedures, permit-to-work requirements, PPE requirements, and industrial safety standards.
- Coordinate with mechanics, machinists, maintenance personnel, engineers, and supervisors to complete assigned work safely and efficiently.
- Maintain proper records and reports of completed maintenance, welding, and repair activities.
