Unit Manager (Hatchery Department)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in hatchery operations or poultry production.
• Experience in modern hatcheries, poultry farming and production, feed mills, or flour mills is required.
• Experience in port operations is an advantage for Rabigh Port assignments.
• Background in laying, broiler, or breeder operations is preferred, depending on the assigned role.
• Hands-on experience with the SAP System and inventory management is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and people management skills.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily hatchery operations to ensure efficient chick production and achievement of production targets.
• Monitor hatchery performance, incubation processes, hatchability rates, and chick quality while implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity protocols, animal welfare standards, food safety requirements, and company operating procedures.
• Supervise hatchery personnel, assign work schedules, provide training, and evaluate staff performance.
• Coordinate with breeder farms, poultry production teams, feed mills, and other departments to maintain smooth production operations.
• Monitor inventory levels of hatchery supplies, equipment, and consumables, ensuring proper stock control and timely replenishment.
• Utilize the SAP System for inventory management, production reporting, and operational monitoring where applicable.
• Prepare operational reports, production records, and performance analyses for management review.
• Ensure proper maintenance of hatchery equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Promote workplace safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the hatchery.
