Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to work in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture, repair, maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting of injection molds and tooling used in manufacturing operations. The role requires practical experience in injection mold making and maintenance, with experience working on complex mold systems considered a strong advantage.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in injection mold making and/or mold maintenance.
- Practical experience in the manufacture, repair, or maintenance of injection molds and tooling.
- Previous experience working with multi-cavity molds is a distinct advantage.
- Previous experience working with hot runner molds is a distinct advantage.
- Previous experience working with valve-gated molds is a distinct advantage.
- Good understanding of injection mold construction, components, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to accurately inspect mold components and identify wear, damage, or defects.
- Good knowledge of fitting, machining, grinding, polishing, and precision toolmaking techniques.
- Ability to work with technical drawings, specifications, measurements, and required tolerances.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments and common toolmaking equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a technical manufacturing team.
- Reliable, disciplined, safety-conscious, and willing to follow established procedures and instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, assemble, repair, modify, and maintain injection molds and associated tooling.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on injection molds to ensure reliable production performance.
- Inspect molds for wear, damage, defects, and components requiring repair or replacement.
- Disassemble and reassemble molds accurately according to technical drawings and established procedures.
- Troubleshoot mold-related problems and identify the root causes of defects or production issues.
- Repair and replace worn or damaged mold components, inserts, pins, bushings, slides, cores, cavities, and other tooling parts.
- Carry out fitting, bench work, polishing, grinding, machining, and finishing operations as required.
- Maintain accurate dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and alignment during mold repair and assembly.
- Work with complex injection mold systems, including multi-cavity, hot runner, and valve-gated molds.
- Inspect mold components using appropriate measuring instruments and precision tools.
- Conduct mold trials and assist with troubleshooting during production or testing.
- Identify flash, short shots, dimensional problems, ejection issues, cooling problems, and other mold-related defects.
- Make appropriate tooling adjustments and modifications to improve mold performance and product quality.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve tooling issues.
- Maintain records of mold repairs, maintenance activities, modifications, replacement parts, and tooling history.
- Ensure tools, machines, measuring equipment, and work areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Follow established engineering drawings, technical specifications, maintenance procedures, and quality standards.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures when operating machinery, handling tools, and performing mold maintenance.
- Assist with new mold builds, tooling modifications, and continuous improvement activities when required.
- Perform other toolmaking, mold maintenance, repair, and related duties assigned by management.
