STRUCTURAL WELDER
Qualifications:
- Filipino male, preferably not more than 48 years old.
- At least 3–5 years of overseas work experience in the relevant Structural Welder position.
- Must be able to clearly explain and demonstrate previous work experience and technical skills.
- Strong practical knowledge of structural steel welding and fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
- Skilled in structural steel preparation, fit-up, alignment, welding, and finishing.
- Experience using welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment.
- Good understanding of welding procedures, weld quality, and structural fabrication requirements.
- Ability to identify welding defects and perform appropriate corrective work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding welding and fabrication work.
- Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking, adaptable, and willing to comply with company and site requirements.
- Resume must include specific details of duties, responsibilities, equipment, tools, and scope of work performed.
- Must have verifiable employment experience and credible references.
- Willing to take IELTS or PTE as required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding on structural steel components, frames, beams, columns, plates, and other fabricated structures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Prepare materials and components for welding, including measuring, cutting, grinding, cleaning, and positioning.
- Perform accurate fit-up and alignment of structural steel components before welding.
- Select appropriate welding processes, equipment, and consumables according to project requirements.
- Carry out tack welding and structural welding to required specifications and standards.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools safely.
- Inspect welds and completed structural components for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Identify welding defects and perform necessary repairs or corrective welding.
- Ensure proper weld size, penetration, alignment, and overall workmanship.
- Assist with fabrication, assembly, modification, and installation of structural steelwork as required.
- Use measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions, angles, alignment, and tolerances.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, and equipment in safe and serviceable condition.
- Follow approved welding procedures, project specifications, and quality-control requirements.
- Coordinate with structural fabricators, fitters, engineers, supervisors, and other site personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized welding and fabrication work area.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
- Report equipment faults, material problems, welding defects, and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Complete assigned welding and fabrication work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Maintain work records and documentation when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
