Australian Skilled Migration is seeking qualified and experienced Stone Masons to work in Australia. The successful candidates will be responsible for stone fabrication, cutting, polishing, edging, finishing, and installation preparation using a variety of natural and engineered stone materials. Candidates must have strong technical skills and hands-on experience operating stone fabrication machinery and equipment.

STONE MASON

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in stone masonry, stone fabrication, or a closely related field.
• At least 1 year of college or completion of a 1-year vocational course.
• Proven experience in stone fabrication, polishing, bullnose, cutting, edging, and finishing.
• Skilled in operating waterjet machines, bridge saws, polishers, grinders, and related stone fabrication equipment.
• Experience working with Caesarstone, Quantum Quartz, Silestone, marble, granite, and quartzite.
• Strong knowledge of stone fabrication techniques and finishing processes.
• Ability to accurately read measurements, drawings, templates, and project specifications.
• Good manual skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to produce accurate cuts, edges, profiles, joints, and polished finishes.
• Physically fit and capable of handling and working with heavy stone materials.
• Ability to safely operate power tools, machinery, and stone fabrication equipment.
• Strong commitment to quality, precision, and workplace safety.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform stone fabrication, cutting, shaping, polishing, edging, and finishing according to project specifications.
• Measure, mark, and prepare stone materials accurately for fabrication and installation.
• Cut stone slabs and other materials using appropriate cutting equipment.
• Operate waterjet machines, bridge saws, polishers, grinders, and other stone fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform precision edging, profiling, bullnose, and finishing work on stone surfaces.
• Polish stone surfaces to achieve the required finish, texture, and appearance.
• Fabricate countertops, benchtops, panels, vanity tops, and other stone products as required.
• Work with engineered and natural stone materials, including Caesarstone, Quantum Quartz, Silestone, marble, granite, and quartzite.
• Inspect stone slabs and materials for defects, cracks, imperfections, and other issues before fabrication.
• Read and interpret measurements, drawings, templates, specifications, and fabrication requirements.
• Ensure accurate dimensions, cuts, joints, edges, and finishes according to project requirements.
• Handle, move, position, and store stone slabs and fabricated pieces safely.
• Use appropriate hand tools and power tools for detailed stone fabrication and finishing.
• Perform quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Repair or make adjustments to fabricated stone pieces when necessary.
• Maintain fabrication machinery, tools, and equipment in clean and safe working condition.
• Follow workplace safety procedures when handling heavy stone materials and operating machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, and fabrication.
• Coordinate with supervisors, installers, fabricators, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
• Follow Australian workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
• Perform other stone fabrication and masonry duties as assigned.
