Job Location: Mozambique

DAEWOO E&C CO., LTD. is seeking experienced and highly motivated Steel Structure Engineers for deployment to Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural engineering design, analysis, coordination, and project support for steel structure works while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.

STEEL STRUCTURE ENGINEER

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in steel structure engineering or related fields.
  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar fields.
  • Preferred Ex-DAEWOO applicants with previous DAEWOO project experience.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate with strong three-dimensional conceptual and visualization skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good diagrammatic and technical drawing interpretation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality standards.
  • Ability to coordinate and liaise effectively with professionals from other disciplines.
  • Strong interest in structural engineering, building design, and steel structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering design, analysis, and review for steel structure projects.
  • Prepare and interpret structural drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project alignment.
  • Conduct structural assessments and provide technical solutions for project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and engineering codes.
  • Assist in project planning, material coordination, and construction support activities.
  • Monitor project progress and address engineering issues during construction and installation phases.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and project records.
  • Participate in meetings, technical discussions, and project coordination activities.
