Paesen Trucks is offering an overseas employment opportunity for an SSR/Diagnostic Truck Technician at a Volvo Trucks service center in Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining truck systems to ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and optimal performance.

SSR/Diagnostic Truck Technician

Qualifications:

• Male applicants aged 25–45 years, as stated in the vacancy.
• High school graduate and technical vocational graduate.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience as an SSR/Diagnostic Truck Technician or in a comparable truck diagnostics role.
• Diploma in Electromechanics, Automotive Technology, or a similar technical field.
• Experience with Volvo trucks, CAN-bus systems, sensors, and potentiometers.
• Knowledge of truck mechanics, automotive electronics, diagnostic software, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Must hold a Class C driver’s license, as specified in the vacancy.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections.
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies, participate in training, and continue developing technical skills.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests and analyses on trucks to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems involving Volvo truck systems, CAN-bus networks, sensors, and potentiometers.
• Operate advanced diagnostic equipment and specialized truck diagnostic software.
• Repair or replace defective mechanical, electrical, and electronic components as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and system checks.
• Examine vehicle systems to identify potential safety issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Interpret diagnostic results, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair instructions.
• Document completed repairs, diagnostic findings, maintenance activities, and parts replaced.
• Verify vehicle performance after repairs and ensure systems operate correctly.
• Collaborate with other technicians, service advisers, and relevant departments to resolve complex technical problems.
• Follow workshop safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and established quality standards.
• Keep technical knowledge up to date with developments in truck technology, diagnostic tools, and repair methods.
• Participate in training programs to improve diagnostic and technical skills.
