Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Shuttering Carpenter / Excavator Driver to support construction projects in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and dismantling formwork systems for reinforced concrete structures, operating construction equipment, and ensuring all works meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

SHUTTERING CARPENTER/EXCAVATOR DRIVER

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter, Formwork Carpenter, Excavator Driver, or similar construction role.
  • Strong knowledge of formwork systems, construction methods, and reinforced concrete works.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
  • Experience using traditional and proprietary formwork systems, including Peri or Doka systems.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience operating excavators and construction equipment is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work safely in a construction environment.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and construction method statements.
  • Set out and construct formwork for foundations, columns, walls, beams, slabs, staircases, and other reinforced concrete structures.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble timber, plywood, and proprietary formwork systems accurately.
  • Assemble, erect, modify, and dismantle traditional and proprietary formwork systems.
  • Install and maintain temporary works associated with formwork operations.
  • Ensure formwork dimensions, levels, alignment, and stability comply with project requirements.
  • Work with recognized formwork systems such as Peri or Doka.
  • Carry out quality checks before concrete pouring activities.
  • Identify and correct defects, inaccuracies, or issues in formwork installations.
  • Operate excavators and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
  • Follow site safety procedures and company policies.
  • Assist with other site duties as required.
