Shop Floor / Merchandiser Manager

Qualifications:

• Must have good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferably with experience in retail, wholesale, distribution, electronics, office supplies, or a related industry.
• Must have a good employment history and demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
• Must be adaptable, hands-on, and capable of working independently or as part of a small team.
• Must be capable of handling reasonable responsibilities outside the immediate role when required.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate shop floor or merchandising staff effectively.
• Good understanding of retail operations, product presentation, stock replenishment, and customer service.
• Strong attention to detail when arranging products, checking displays, and monitoring stock availability.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, suppliers, and management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Must demonstrate initiative, dependability, and a positive attitude toward work.
• Must be physically fit and able to maintain consistent attendance and work performance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day activities and operations of the shop floor.
• Ensure merchandise is properly arranged, displayed, labeled, and readily available to customers.
• Maintain attractive, organized, and well-stocked product displays.
• Monitor product availability and coordinate with the stock or inventory team for replenishment.
• Ensure products are placed in their correct locations according to merchandising and company standards.
• Monitor stock movement on the shop floor and report shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies.
• Assist in planning and implementing product displays, promotions, and merchandising activities.
• Ensure promotional materials, price tags, signage, and product information are accurate and properly displayed.
• Monitor product presentation and make recommendations to improve customer visibility and shopping experience.
• Supervise and coordinate shop floor and merchandising staff.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor staff attendance, performance, and productivity.
• Train and guide employees on proper merchandising, customer service, product handling, and shop floor procedures.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and help resolve routine customer concerns.
• Coordinate with inventory, purchasing, sales, and branch management teams regarding stock and merchandising requirements.
• Monitor the condition and cleanliness of merchandise, shelves, displays, and shop floor areas.
• Ensure products are handled and displayed safely to prevent damage or loss.
• Monitor slow-moving, fast-moving, and promotional products and communicate relevant observations to management.
• Assist with stock counts, inventory checks, and periodic merchandising audits.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to shop floor activities, stock availability, and merchandising.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards are consistently followed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional shop floor environment.
• Work hands-on with the team and handle reasonable responsibilities outside the immediate role when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve product presentation, stock availability, and overall shop floor efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
