Al Fanar Company is seeking an experienced Senior Technician, Fabrication (Ceramics) for an overseas work opportunity in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will lead fabrication activities, interpret structural drawings, perform welding and gas cutting, prepare structural modifications, support machine installations, and ensure fabrication work meets production, quality, and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Preferably 5–10 years of work-related experience in fabrication, welding, industrial maintenance, or a similar field.
• Candidates must hold a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in a relevant field or similar qualification.
• Male applicants are preferred.
• Strong ability to read and understand structural and installation drawings.
• Proven experience in structural fabrication and machine modification.
• Experience fabricating silos, chutes, supports, frames, and other industrial structures.
• Strong practical knowledge of ARC welding, gas cutting, grinding, and drilling.
• Ability to perform steel cutting, fitting, assembly, alignment, and fabrication.
• Experience supporting the installation of new machines and production equipment.
• Ability to lead and supervise a fabrication team.
• Knowledge of welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and other fabrication equipment.
• Ability to maintain and perform basic checks on welding machines, cutting machines, grinding machines, and drilling machines.
• Good knowledge of required PPE and workplace safety procedures.
• Understanding of industrial housekeeping and safety standards.
• Familiarity with IMS requirements and company workplace procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Very good English communication skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on fabrication and industrial work.
• Must have a valid passport.
• Must be medically fit for overseas employment.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the fabrication team in carrying out daily fabrication, welding, and installation activities.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation plans.
• Perform fabrication work according to approved drawings, dimensions, specifications, and production requirements.
• Prepare and carry out structural modifications to existing equipment, structures, and production facilities.
• Fabricate and modify silos, chutes, platforms, supports, frames, brackets, and other structural components.
• Perform ARC welding on structural steel and machine components.
• Carry out gas cutting, grinding, drilling, and other metal fabrication activities.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit, align, and assemble steel components according to drawings.
• Modify machines and equipment according to production and operational requirements.
• Support the installation, positioning, alignment, and commissioning of new machines and production equipment.
• Assist maintenance and engineering teams with equipment modifications and structural fabrication requirements.
• Inspect fabricated components and completed work to ensure proper dimensions, alignment, strength, and workmanship.
• Diagnose and correct fabrication, welding, alignment, and structural issues when required.
• Operate welding machines, gas-cutting equipment, grinders, drilling machines, and other fabrication tools safely.
• Maintain welding machines, cutting machines, grinding machines, drilling machines, and other workshop equipment in good working condition.
• Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance of fabrication tools and equipment.
• Ensure welding and fabrication equipment is properly stored, maintained, and ready for use.
• Select and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and other fabrication activities.
• Ensure all team members follow required PPE and workplace safety procedures.
• Follow company rules, safety regulations, work instructions, and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping in fabrication areas, workshops, and work sites.
• Keep work areas free from unnecessary materials, debris, and other safety hazards.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, engineering, and other departments to complete fabrication and installation activities efficiently.
• Plan and distribute daily fabrication tasks among team members.
• Monitor team performance, work progress, quality, and adherence to schedules.
• Guide and train fabrication workers on safe and proper work practices.
• Report fabrication progress, equipment issues, material requirements, and safety concerns to supervisors.
• Ensure all work is completed according to required quality and safety standards.
• Perform other fabrication, maintenance, modification, and installation duties assigned by management.
