Yamama Cement Factory is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Mechanic specializing in Cement Mills and Packaging Plant Maintenance to support plant maintenance and equipment reliability in Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for senior mechanical professionals with strong experience maintaining cement mills, packaging machinery, conveyors, and other heavy industrial equipment in a cement manufacturing environment.

Senior Mechanic Specializing In Cement Mills And Packaging Plant Maintenance

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Mechanic or Mechanical Maintenance Technician in a cement manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong experience in cement mill and packaging plant maintenance.
• Good knowledge of cement mills, packing machines, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, fans, feeders, elevators, and other cement plant equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, repair, alignment, assembly, and preventive maintenance skills.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical specifications.
• Experience in planned shutdowns, equipment overhauls, inspections, and major mechanical repairs.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and support to mechanics and other maintenance personnel.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding cement plant environment.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, technically capable, and able to work effectively with maintenance and production teams.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee mechanical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of cement mills and packaging plant equipment.
• Inspect cement mills, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, pumps, fans, feeders, and other mechanical equipment for wear, damage, and abnormal conditions.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and determine appropriate repair, replacement, adjustment, or maintenance requirements.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules, technical specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Perform maintenance, dismantling, repair, alignment, assembly, and installation of cement mill components and associated machinery.
• Maintain packaging plant equipment, including packing machines, bagging systems, conveyors, elevators, feeders, palletizing equipment, and related mechanical systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures to minimize unplanned downtime and production interruptions.
• Assist with planned shutdowns, major overhauls, equipment inspections, component replacement, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with production operators, engineers, supervisors, electricians, and other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient plant operations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to mechanics and maintenance personnel during complex troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Inspect mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, couplings, gears, belts, chains, rollers, and drive systems and recommend corrective action when required.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of mechanical tools, lifting equipment, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment breakdowns, inspections, repairs, spare parts, and downtime.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and recommend preventive measures to improve machinery reliability and service life.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and other industrial safety practices during maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain good housekeeping in mill and packaging plant maintenance areas.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical duties assigned by management.
