Perdaman Global Services is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Heavy Lift Engineer / Lifting Engineer for an overseas work opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will support the planning and execution of complex heavy lifting operations, evaluate lifting technologies and equipment, develop comprehensive lifting plans, and work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and senior management to ensure safe and compliant lifting activities.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s or College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Strong experience in heavy lifting, lifting engineering, crane operations, rigging, or related engineering activities is preferred.
- Knowledge of crane systems, rigging equipment, lifting technologies, and load monitoring systems.
- Experience developing or supporting lifting plans.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar engineering software.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and lifting requirements.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and safe lifting practices.
- Strong analytical, engineering, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, contractors, and senior management.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Must have a valid passport, NBI clearance, driver’s license, and relevant training certificates.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive engineering plans and strategies for heavy lift and lifting operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Prepare and review lifting plans in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications.
- Evaluate new and existing engineering technologies used in heavy lifting operations.
- Assess crane systems, rigging equipment, load monitoring systems, and other lifting technologies.
- Identify opportunities for improvements, modifications, and more efficient lifting solutions.
- Use AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software to support lifting plan development and technical documentation.
- Review engineering calculations, lifting requirements, equipment capabilities, and site conditions.
- Provide technical input and engineering support throughout project planning and execution.
- Communicate project strategies, plans, results, technical issues, and recommendations effectively to senior management and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal and external project teams to ensure lifting requirements are properly understood and implemented.
- Monitor industry developments and emerging technologies related to heavy lifting and engineering.
- Assist in identifying potential technical risks and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
- Ensure lifting activities are planned with appropriate consideration of safety, equipment limitations, site conditions, and applicable standards.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations as required.
- Work closely with management and project teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Perform other technical and engineering duties as required by the General Manager – Technical, COO, and CEO.
