Yamama Cement Factory is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Equipment/Instrumentation Technician to support instrumentation, control, and equipment maintenance for cement mills, packaging systems, and crushing operations in Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for experienced industrial technicians with strong knowledge of process instrumentation, control systems, sensors, and equipment used in cement manufacturing.
SENIOR EQUIPMENT/INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Instrumentation Technician, Equipment Technician, Instrument Technician, or similar industrial position.
- Strong experience in cement mills, packaging plants, crushing systems, or other heavy industrial process facilities.
- Good knowledge of process instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, control valves, actuators, control loops, and measurement systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, calibration, testing, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
- Ability to diagnose instrumentation faults and resolve control and measurement problems efficiently.
- Ability to read and understand instrumentation diagrams, loop diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical documents.
- Experience working with industrial process control and equipment monitoring systems is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and safe maintenance practices.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding cement plant environment.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, technically capable, and able to work effectively with multidisciplinary maintenance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection, troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance of instrumentation and control systems used in cement mills, packaging plants, and crushing facilities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot process instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, vibration, and other measurement devices.
- Inspect and maintain sensors, transmitters, switches, control valves, actuators, positioners, and related instrumentation equipment.
- Diagnose faults in instrumentation circuits, control loops, signal wiring, and associated control systems.
- Perform calibration and functional testing of instruments according to established procedures and required accuracy standards.
- Monitor the performance of instrumentation and control equipment and identify abnormal readings or operating conditions.
- Support instrumentation maintenance for cement mills, crushers, conveyors, feeders, packing machines, and material-handling systems.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control issues affecting production processes and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, modification, and replacement of instruments, control devices, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret instrumentation diagrams, loop diagrams, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, production, and control room personnel to resolve equipment and process-related problems.
- Assist during planned shutdowns, equipment overhauls, inspections, calibration activities, and major maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of calibration, inspections, faults, repairs, maintenance activities, and replacement parts.
- Ensure test instruments, calibration equipment, hand tools, and other maintenance equipment are properly maintained and used safely.
- Identify recurring instrumentation problems and recommend corrective or preventive measures to improve equipment reliability.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and applicable industrial safety practices.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain good housekeeping in instrumentation and plant work areas.
- Perform other instrumentation, equipment maintenance, and technical duties assigned by management.
